Digital Branding
for a Print Company
Briefing
The Challenge
Catapult is a printing company in the U.S. that aims to disrupt the market with its top-notch technology and ever-evolving processes for high-quality label printing. Within the scope of a rebranding, the developed company values were to be communicated through several animations.
They were to show that Catapult brings fresh ideas to the market while actively driving development in an almost playful manner. This should set them apart in a very competitive market.
The tasks included look development, design, story, and animation.
More inbound Leads
The rebranding is aimed towards building a closer relationship with potential clients and staying on top of mind through the eccentric visuals.
#01
Wide Application
To capture the users attention and set the company apart right from the first contact we developed this 30 second animation to play in the header of the website.
Really taking in their claim “We’re driven to be different” I designed a set of rather abstract and unusual scenes for a printing company. Each scene abstracts the concept of progress, process, paper and pushing boundaries.
The driver of the animation is the ball that emerges from different colored “blobs”. The combination of different skillsets and years of experience allow capatapult to deliver better results and change the industry. Constantly focusing on the process, strategic thinking and customer centric decisionmaking sets Catapult apart and can be found within the animation created.
Process
How does it come together?
After a rather open brief I worked closely with the Creative Director of Spark to develop visuals that matched their moodboard and initial idea for the rebranding. We quickly jumped into developing different scenes and exploring the flow of the overall piece. I especially focused on the transitions.
Meanwhile I also designed different textures for the hero visual, which were handpainted in Photoshop. Combining them with bump channels and other noises creates a very tactile feeling. Just what we needed to catch the viewers eye.
